The 39th Annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup
Monte Rio Recreation District, Monte Rio Site
Be part of one of the biggest environmental volunteer events in Sonoma County! Each year, hundreds of volunteers come together to protect our beloved Russian River before the winter rains carry litter to the ocean.
📝 Event Details:
🗓️ Date: Saturday, September 20th, 2025
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 Location: Monte Rio Recreation District parking lot- 20488 CA-116, Monte Rio.
🎁 Volunteer Perk: Free gift for all participants!
We’ll meet in the parking lot, from there, volunteers can choose from a variety of walking routes based on where trash is most concentrated.
What’s Provided: Gloves, trash grabbers, and bags. It is recommended to bring water and a hat!
Why it matters: We know that 80% of ocean trash starts on land. Your cleanup helps protect wildlife and stop pollution before it flows downstream during the winter months. We can’t wait to get out on the river with you!
