The 39th Annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup

Cloverdale, First Street bridge site

Be part of one of the biggest environmental volunteer events in Sonoma County! Each year, hundreds of volunteers come together to protect our beloved Russian River before the winter rains carry litter to the ocean.

📝 Event Details:

🗓️ Date: Saturday, September 20th, 2025
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 Location: Near the cemetery on Crocker Road. (see picture for exact meeting location)
🎁 Volunteer Perk: Free gift for all participants!

We’ll meet at the Russian River Bridge (see image for exact meeting location). From there, volunteers can choose from a variety of walking routes based on where trash is most concentrated.

What’s Provided: Gloves, trash grabbers, and bags. It is recommended to bring water and a hat!

Why it matters: We know that 80% of ocean trash starts on land. Your cleanup helps protect wildlife and stop pollution before it flows downstream during the winter months. We can’t wait to get out on the river with you!
